That is, by paying Google (often through the nose), people assume that their &quot;Web marketing&quot; checkbox is checked. Bottom line: some marketing managers are still OK not knowing which half of their advertising dollars/efforts they&#039;re wasting. The tragedy, as you point out, is that we now have the tools to demand performance on every last cent of our online ad dollars.
